If you have a data protection concern about how your personal data has been used but would prefer to try and resolve if informally, you can ask to take part in our Amicable resolution process. This is a straightforward and easy-to-access procedure designed to help both parties reach a mutually agreeable solution.

Please note that we will share your information (including your name) and any details you have provided with the organisation involved so that they can respond to the concerns you have raised and so that we can work with them to address those concerns and progress your request for an amicable resolution. In certain circumstances, we may, at our discretion, decide not to share all of the information provided by you with the organisation e.g. where it contains the personal data of another person, or where you have expressly indicated that you consider certain information you have included to be sensitive and/or confidential and that it should not be shared. Please note that this will occur in exceptional circumstances only, where we consider that such information is not material to the concern which has been raised by you and will not hamper the amicable resolution process you have requested.
